The Dedicated Church
#
Revelation 3:7-13
Introduction
Christ is the key holder, the keeper, the one who opens, and closes
doors which no one else is able to. It is important to recognize Christ,
and see Him for who He is, and what He is able to do.
To the church in Philadelphia, there are more descriptive phrases
attributed to Jesus than any of the other churches.

Keys to a Holy Life
#
Romans 12:9
Introduction
In verses 9-21, we are going to look at Holy living! There are some
very, very practical things given in the Word of God, that He expects us
to adhere to. They are not written simply so we can read them and be
aware of them. They are written, that we may PRACTICE them in our life.
Keys to a HOLY Life – These set the tone for the rest of this chapter.
Verse 9 is a foundational truth for the rest of the verses that are
given.

Pro 3:5-6
Lu 17:5-6
Intro.
It is quite apropos that after our missions conference we should look at
these two verses. They are two well known verses, often quoted, and yet
hard to apply and live.
Faith is one of the topics that every time it is addressed, there is a
need that our faith increase.
(Luk 17:5-6) (5) And the apostles said unto the Lord, [Increase our
faith]{.underline}. (6) And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of
mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up
by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Psalms 33
Introduction
Psalm 33 doesn’t have a title, Hebrew tradition holds that it is a
continuation of the previous Psalm. It is worth noting that Psalm 32
ends on the righteous rejoicing, and Psalm 33 picks up on that very same
idea. Whether it was intentionally written that way, or the way it was
assembled, one thing is for sure, the Lord orchestrated His Word, and He
makes NO MISTAKES!

Romans 12:10-16
Introduction
Last week, we laid a foundation for this week. “Let love be without
dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.”
(Rom 12:9). This week, I want to teach more through a check list that we
should have in our life. He wrote in the beginning of the chapter
concerning presenting our bodies. He then talked about being a part of a
local new testament church. Our love is to be sincere. There is a simple
list that I want

Psalm 34:1-3
Introduction
This Psalm was written when David had been driven out of the country. He
was forced to the land of the Philistines. Obviously, he was not welcome
there, as he had killed their giant, and their hero. To help us get full
context of this Psalm, let’s read the account.
1 Samuel 21:10-15
Notice in verse 10, David was fearful. It is a fearful thing to be on the
top 10 wanted list of the king… and I’m pretty sure that David was
number 1 on that list.

The Deceived Church

Revelation 3:14-22
Introduction
The attributes of Christ revealed in each passage are the ones
appropriate for the need of the church. He reveals Himself as we need
Him.
Not all the churches received a negative commentary. Two churches were
simply encouraged to continue in the things they were doing. However, of
the ones not doing right, I want to recap the verses:

Be Not Overcome with Evil
#
Romans 12:17-21
Introduction
The previous verses we looked at in this chapter really dealt with the
believer and his interaction with other believers. I put together a
check list for keeping track of your life. The verses we will look at
tonight, really deal with living among a lost world that practices evil
against you.
By way of introduction, the phrase, “Recompense to no man evil for
evil.” sets the tone and theme for these verses. It opens with reference
to evil, and closes with reference to evil, and tells us how to behave
when faced with evil.

Honoring the Lord
#
Proverbs 3:9-10
Intro.
Honor - Esteem due or paid to worth; high estimation; respect;
consideration; reverence;
There are many ways to honor the Lord. We can honor God with our time, we can honor God with our talents, but in this proverb, we are admonished and encouraged to honor God with our Treasure!
Giving is:
I. Developed in the Heart
#
A. Starts with your heart!
#
If God doesn’t have your heart, your giving cannot be right!
