Romans 9

History Lesson #

Romans 9

Introduction

As you go through the Bible, there is a lot to learn. One of the many things that is learned, is how the author writes. The Books of 1st and 2nd Corinthians were very direct, and straightforward. As he says to them,

1Cor. 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

As such, they are easier to analyze, understand, and learn. Romans is certainly a deeper book. Perhaps, I have been so busy examining the trees, that it made it tough to see the forest. Tonight, I want to get the overview of Romans Chapter 9, and look at the bigger picture, instead of looking at every nook in the bark of the tree. As I read it, there is a very clear larger picture that is very easy to see, and that is what I would like us to see tonight.

Paul is about to present us with a history lesson, that rolls right into Salvation.
