Revelation #

Romans 1:16-21

Introduction

Revelation literally means, to reveal something or make it known. In our text, we find a few things that clearly God revealed to man.

God here, clearly shows three things that had already been revealed to them. They are given in these verses that we are about to look at.

We are blessed with a completed, whole, time tested Bible (KJB) that is accurate, inspired, and faithful! - Any yet it is so often neglected. Well, that isn’t the message tonight.

I. Revelation of Righteousness (Rom 1:16-17) #

A. Jesus Life #

1. Sinless – The world never witnessed a sinless life! #

1Pet. 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

  • No sin – contrast we cannot imagine sinlessness

    • We are born with corrupt hearts!

2. No guile! - cunning, deceit in a bad sense #

    • Tongue is difficult to control, NO GUILE

3. Jesus is God! #

  • This is what separates Jesus from ALL other religions

    • Mary is not God, Mohammad is not God, Budah is not God, Jesus is God!

B. Justified life “the just shall live by faith” #

1. Justified #

2. Our life is to be like Christ’s life! #

Rom. 12:1 ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
