Blessings for the Believer #
Psalm 40:1-5
Introduction
We can view most Psalms from the eyes or perspective of the writer. Looking at it from the time of the writing. They can be viewed prophetically, looking forward to what they would represent. Remember, when they were written, Jesus Christ had not yet been brought into the world as the Supreme Sacrifice. The Holy Spirit had not yet come to be the Comforter. And much of the Bible had yet to be completely written. However, it is Scripture, therefore it was given by God, who is NOT bound by these limitations! What an incredible book we have, hold, and adhere to!
Some of the Psalms take us through deep dark waters, while other Psalms take us to mountain tops of blessings. This Psalm, is a Psalm of praise, and blessing, not so much a Psalm of despair and gloom. This evening, we will see the Blessings for the Believer in this Psalm! There are many blessings to being a believer, and knowing our faith and trust rest in God!
