Finding Help in Trouble #
Psalm 46:1-11
Introduction
This is an incredible Psalm we have this evening. I have no doubt it will be a blessing and help to you! There are no doubt prophetic references in the Psalm, I want to get bogged down in tracking and proving those references. I want us to see the application, the help, the encouragement we can get from it.
Refuge – 1. Shelter or protection from danger or distress. 2. That which shelters or protects from danger, or from distress or calamity; a stronghold which protects by its strength, or a sanctuary which secures safety by its sacredness; a place inaccessible to an enemy.
Psa. 46:1 ¶ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psa. 46:7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psa. 46:11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
