1 Corinthians 3:5-9
I. Responsibility (5-6) #
A. Servants (5) – servants #
1. There is no task too small for us! #
2. There is no prominence among servants “who then is Paul, and who is Apollos?” #

Matthew 28:19–20 - “19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

II. Relationship (7-9) #
A. With the Lord #
1. By God (6-7) “God giveth the increase” #
Matthew 16:18 - “18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
2. With God (9) “labourers together with God” #
Matthew 9:37–38 - “37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
Isaiah 6:8 - “8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
3. For God (9) “God’s husbandry” #
- Husbandry - The business of a farmer, comprehending agriculture or tillage of the ground, the raising, managing and fattening of cattle and other domestic animals, the management of the dairy and whatever the land produces.
B. With other Laborers (8) “are one” #
III. Reward (8) #
A. Fruit based on work #
Galatians 6:7 - “7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
2 Corinthians 9:6 - “6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”
