When Deliverance seems delayed #
Psalms 33
Introduction
Psalm 33 doesn’t have a title, Hebrew tradition holds that it is a continuation of the previous Psalm. It is worth noting that Psalm 32 ends on the righteous rejoicing, and Psalm 33 picks up on that very same idea. Whether it was intentionally written that way, or the way it was assembled, one thing is for sure, the Lord orchestrated His Word, and He makes NO MISTAKES!
While the Psalm does start with rejoicing, we find it closes with deliverance. So we will take that as the theme, and be sure there will be much Rejoicing while waiting for the deliverance. When we deem it time for deliverance, and God is not there, we must understand that we are not the dictators of time, and that we are not in control. God is, and we must wait on Him. God often stretches and grows our faith. My title is “When deliverance seems delayed” however, the delay, is perceived, not that God is late. There are times in our life, when we perceive that God is late, but I can assure you, He is never late!
