Psalm of Moses
Psalm 90:1-6, 12
Introduction
This is a Psalm of Moses, making it one of the oldest Psalms. Perhaps where David took great inspiration from to write more Psalms.
I. The Person of God (Psalm 90:1-4)
A. Sustainer of Life (1)
1. God is the Life giver!
Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
2. God is the one who sustains life!
Col. 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
- Consist – to hold together, to be supported and maintained
B. Creator of all (2)
Gen. 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
C. Eternal (2b)
D. Judge (3) “Thou turnest man to destruction”
E. Mercy giver (3) “and sayest, Return”

II. The Problem of Man (Psalm 90:4-11)

1. Man conceals sin

Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

III. The Plea of Man (Psalm 90:12-17)
A. Recognition of limited time (12)
1. WE must be open minded – Nothing gets into a closed bottle!
2. Number our days – be wise with our time on earth. It is limited. Many people dedicate so little time for the Lord, and so much time for themself…

C. Recognition of God’s work (15-16)
Eccl. 12:1 ¶ Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
