Romans 15:1-7
Introduction
Paul makes an appeal to the mature believer. He has just discussed how
christians should deal with the world, how they should get along with
one another, and he continues just a little more on this theme. He
continues to build on the instruction he has given previously.
"We then that are strong" - Strong christians, here is your
instruction! This is something for you!

Dealing with Discouragement
#
Psalm 39:1-2
Introduction
When it rains, it pours is the old saying. Last week, we noticed the
Psalmist having a Pity party, lamenting his personal problems. This
Psalm Deals with Discouragement. Everyone faces discouragement in their
life. It is not something uncommon, and some deal with discouragement
more than others.
Discouragement is often the results of unfulfilled expectations. You are
expecting something to happen, and when it does not happen, you become
sad, sullen, and often discouraged from the results that were not as you
expected.

Gentile Ministry
#
Romans 15:8-13
Introduction
Paul has been advocating how God desires to save BOTH Jew and Gentile
throughout his entire letter to the Romans. There appears to have been a
great battle for the Gentiles to adhere to the OT religious laws and
completely change their way of life. Jesus should and does change your
life.
2 Cor 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Sowing the Seed!
#
Mark 4:1-13 (1-20)
Introduction
We are in a passage that I know I have preached before. However, we
don’t come for something new every week, we come to be reminded of
things we already know, and need reminded of. The Sowing of the Seed is
a recurring theme throughout the NT in various illustrations. It is
given over and over, as food, water, light, seed, all good things that
help others. We must remember Jesus came that people would be saved, and
he has entrusted that message with us!

Psalm 40:1-5
Introduction
We can view most Psalms from the eyes or perspective of the writer.
Looking at it from the time of the writing. They can be viewed
prophetically, looking forward to what they would represent. Remember,
when they were written, Jesus Christ had not yet been brought into the
world as the Supreme Sacrifice. The Holy Spirit had not yet come to be
the Comforter. And much of the Bible had yet to be completely written.
However, it is Scripture, therefore it was given by God, who is NOT
bound by these limitations! What an incredible book we have, hold, and
adhere to!

The Principle Thing
#
Pro 4:1-13
Intro.
In these 13 verses, Wisdom is held as the most important thing! Verse 7
says, “Wisdom is the principal thing”. Yet it is often the most
overlooked thing! We have elevated knowledge over wisdom! Look at all
the degrees that people tote, and how elevated it is when someone has an
earned degree. I’m not against education, I’m just contrasting the fact
that God doesn’t elevate knowledge over wisdom! Wisdom is knowing what
to do with the knowledge we have. Some people know a lot of things, but
they don’t know how to use what they know.

Psalm 41
Introduction
Psalm 41, is the close of Book 1 of the Psalms. The Hebrews divide the
psalms into 5 books. 1-41, 42-72, 73-89, 90-106, 107-150. All of the
Psalms in book one, are believed to be written by David.
The Psalms are filled with emotion. Positive emotion expressed joyfully
in praise to the Lord. Frustration, discouragement, sadness are all
themes that are clearly given throughout the Psalms.
