Hebrews 11:8-12

I. Calling of his Faith "called to go out" v8

     A. Accessible to God

          i. Take delight in the Word of God!

Psa. 1:1 ¶ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

          ii. Take delight in church

Psa. 122:1 ¶ I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

     B. Attentive to God

II. Compliance of his Faith "obeyed; and he went out" v8

     A. Action "obey"

     B. Attitude (Good attitude)

III. Confidence of his faith "not knowing wither he went" v8

     A. Accept the unknown

Heb. 11:1 ¶ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

     B. Act on what you know

IV. Continuance of His Faith "sojourned in the land of promise" v9

     A. Examples

Titus 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

     B. Accomplish the Mission

Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
