Psalm 28:1-9
Introduction
The book of Psalms, is full of melodramatic moods. It is frequent the
psalmist goes from discouraged to delighted, from heavy-hearted to light
hearted, from frazzled to festive, from sorrowful to satisfied, from
gloomy to glad! It is not a new narrative, but it is one we often
experience in life. Some valleys are deeper than others, some mountain
peaks far more expanse than others, but such is life to go from peak to
valley, and valley to peak. That is why we find such comfort in the book
of Psalms.

Romans 10:1-11
Intro.
Imagine yourself a Jew, having been given the law, having been God’s
people your whole life! Knowing you are to offer sacrifices, and to go
to the Temple. Knowing the laws and books of the Bible that had been
given to your people to hold on to. Knowing that God for literally
thousands of years had worked through your people. Granted it had been a
couple hundred years since a prophet actually had a vision, or prophetic
Word from the Lord, but still. Then, the Messiah comes, only, the
religious jewish leaders rejected him. What do you do? Jesus, was he
really the Messiah? Many of the common people had no problem seeing it,
but many of the very religious devout jews greatly struggled with how
this fit the passages they had spent their life reading. Many struggled
understanding how this now worked, it was a completely NEW way!

Psalm 29:1-11
Introduction
As the Psalm opens, it would seem that the first few verses are out of
place, and do not fit with the rest of the Psalm. Admittedly, it takes
some reading, praying and seeking to find how the entirety of the Psalm
comes together under one title, but I can assure you by the end, we will
have it packaged up in a nice neat package that David placed it in.

Romans 11:1-6
Intro.
The Apostle Paul is an excellent teacher. He has a lot of information,
and takes great time and energy to teach the point he wants to make in
the Book of Romans. I don’t want to get lost in the words of the
chapter, but want to take a step back, and get a full grasp on what Paul
(and specifically God) is trying to teach in this passage.

Revelation 3:1-6
Introduction
The Spirit certainly speaks of the Holy Spirit of God. The idea, is that
Jesus has life! The Spirit would certainly represent life, that is why
in Eph 2:1-2
Eph. 2:1 ¶ And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and
sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this
world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit
that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Psalm 30:
Introduction
You will notice at the top of your Psalm, “A Psalm and Song at the
dedication of the house of David.”
We are prone to think immediately that this is a Psalm given after David
finished building his house. I would not discredit that idea, but
several others believe it could have been when David bought the
threshing floor of Ornan (1 Chro 21, or 2 Sam 24, or Araunah), and
stopped the plague in Israel. They believe it to be a Psalm of praise
issued in faith to the future building of the Temple, which happened on
the site David purchased

Romans 12:1
Intro.
In the previous chapters Paul has been teaching very important
Theological truths. He has spared no expense of ink in detailing each
argument, and laying to rest many side arguments that may come to mind.
He now shifts gears completely, and dives into a very practical section
of the book. He is careful to transition, based on the truth of the
Theological arguments he has presented.

Psalm 31:1-5
Introduction
The title of the message for tonight is taken right from the last verse
of the Psalm, Be of Good Courage. It is easy to be discouraged. With the
day and age we live in, we can certainly be discouraged. With the
circumstances of life at times, we can be discouraged. That is why the
Psalms are suck a blessing to us! David too suffered from
discouragement. He certainly had bad days, and days in which he was
literally attacked, betrayed, slandered, and run out of his own kingdom
(before he was king and even after he was king!

Romans 12:4-13
Introduction
After beseeching believers to present themselves to the Lord, the topic
is now turned to the body of the believers.
I. Unity of Body (4-5)
#
A. Parts
#
1. Membership - in order to be a member, you must be 1. Saved, 2. Scripturally Baptized (or from a church of like faith).
#
2. One body - We are talking about one local church here. Many people refer to the "body" of believers
#
- God purchased the church with his blood!
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock,
over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the
church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Dealing with the Ugly Monster of Sin

Psalm 32:1-11
Introduction
This Psalm opens up with a bold statement that we will consider and look
at more at the end of the chapter than we will at the beginning. There
are some great statements in the opening that should be considered.
This Psalm primarily deals with sin. This is something that EVERY
believer can associate with, because as saved believers, we should NOT
enjoy sin, and yet we are not, and will not be sinless until we get to
heaven! So it is a topic we are all familiar with!
