Revelation Intro

Revelation 1:1-2
Introduction
Chapter one, is a great introductory chapter, which sets the tone for
the entire book.
Revelation – 1. The act of disclosing or discovering to others what was
before unknown to them; appropriately, the disclosure or communication
of truth to men by God himself, or by his authorized agents, the
prophets and apostles. 2. That which is revealed; appropriately, the
sacred truths which God has communicated to man for his instruction and
direction. The revelations of God are contained in the Old and New
Testament.

A Firm Foundation
#
Psalm 11
Introduction
A foundation, is something that must be solid, in order to build a building that will not fail in the severe storms that life may throw at us.
You will face storms.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Romans 4:1-8
Introduction
Paul presented Justification by faith in chapter 3, he further defends
it in chapter 4. In this chapter we will look at the fact that
Justification is by faith, not works (1-8), Justification is by grace,
not law (9-17) and Justification is by Resurrection power not human
effort (18-25).
Justification is the absolute cleaning of our account. So before God we
are not sinners.

Powerful Words

Psalm 12
Introduction
Psalm 12 is a tremendous chapter. Many messages have been written and preached on verses 6-7. I love studying a passage with the whole context, and especially when there are verses so familiar and used. It is refreshing to see them in context. Sometimes it is enlightening to find out they don’t mean what people have used them for.
I. Fallible Words(1-5)

i.Godly people fall/fail. Faithful people fall.

#
Romans 4:9-16
Introduction
In this chapter we will look at the fact that Justification is by faith,
not works (1-8), Justification is by grace, not law (9-17) and
Justification is by Resurrection power not human effort (18-25).
Once again, the central theme is going to be around Abraham. To the
Jews, he is their Father. There is no doubt, they occupy a special place
in history, the Bible, and to God. They ARE God’s chosen people. We
don’t replace that. However, because of that status, they struggled to
understand how Salvation could be open to all!

Introduction to Revelation
#
Revelation 1:4-20
Introduction
All of this is still introductory material, before he gets down to the
message to the churches. There is so much packed in these verses, I
simply will not cover it all. The depth of the material is simply too
great. You MUST take time to read over it, and get insight on it.
Last week, we briefly noted:

From Darkness to Delight

Psalm 13:1-6
Introduction
David’s life is recorded for us in great detail. He is a well known character in the Bible, and history. Lockyer describes him in this way:
“Volumes have been written on the trials and triumphs of David, a mountain peak among Bible characters, who was carefully chosen as Israel’s second king by God Himself.”

#
Romans 4:18-25
Introduction
I had mentioned earlier that this portion was Justification by the
Resurrection,, Paul certainly closes with that statement, I don’t think
it is the focus of these verses. Paul spends a lot of time on the faith
in these verses. Faith tends be the focal point of these verses. We are
going to look at the fact that Faith Wins tonight.
These verses closely resemble the verses in Hebrews 11, which is labeled
the ‘Hall of Faith’ by many. It is a phenomenal chapter which covers
faith extraordinarily in the Scripture.

#Psalm of Warning
Psalm 14
Introduction
You may not notice, but this Psalm is given to us twice. It is recorded in almost exactness to Psalm 53.
This is more of a Psalm that contemplates the wickedness of evil people, warns of the evil works, and ends in a cry for salvation!
Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
September 21, 2022Consequences of Justification
#
Romans 5:1-5
Introduction
Paul has been spent a long time throughly and clearly presenting
Justification by faith. He is now going to give us a The Consequences of
Justification, the Causes of Justification, the Comparison in
Justification and the contrasts in Justification.
Tonight we will see clearly the blessed consequences of Justification.
These should be a great encouragement to every child of God!
