I want to give us some thoughts out of this Psalm. It is a Psalm rightfully titled, a Psalm of Praise. We often think of praise as that of only words. If praise is only words, we end up with empty lip service, and not fully satisfying praise to the Lord.

Isaiah 29:13 - “13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:”

There are a lot of similarities in style between this Psalm and Psalm 103. They build to a great closing! These are powerful Psalms that are focused primarily on God! What a great focus! I cannot think of a greater place to focus our attention!
• While I was studying, I think I stumbled across a golden nugget in the verse 5:

July 29, 2020

 Miscellaneous Thoughts
 #

Proverbs 20:12, 20, 30

Introduction

Tonight is more of a shotgun message, it will hit all over the place
instead of just hitting one theme. These are the last three verses that
I was not able to fit into a category in this chapter. From Proverbs 10
on, we have many sayings that are not necessarily themed, or go
together. For sake of thought and continuity, I have been going through
each chapter, and connecting the dots between the thoughts that are
covered to give us a uniform way to look at them, and cover topics.
