Psalm 119:57-64

Introduction

The Psalmist in this portion gives us a view into some personal introspection of his own life. Some internal thoughts, of where he is at.

I. David’s Allotment (57-58) #

“Thou art my portion”
Portion – A part assigned; an allotment, or dividend.

A. Godly portion #

Portion is often portrayed in the idea of food. The portion you are served.
The Psalmist recognizes God as his portion, what he receives in life.

i. Many desire earthly things #

We live in the world, we are flesh and blood.
We see and we desire, all of marketing is built off the desire of man to have things.
The Psalmist is content with God as his portion!

1 Timothy 6:6–7 —6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
